In 2016, we took a bus, gathered some mates, and transformed it into our rolling home. Four years on the road, two bus-born kiddos, and countless adventures later, we knew the ins and outs of van life.

Along the way, we met incredible people, van lifers, travelers, and legends from all walks of life. Their stories were too good not to share, so we started Nomads Around Australia, a project that built an amazing community around life on the road.

And yeah, we’ve had it all, brutal heat, freezing cold, clouds of midges. One time, we were so hot we wrapped our bus in foil (not our finest moment). And yes, we also had those flimsy, cheap insulation shades that did absolutely nothing.

That’s why Vanketo was born.

Now, we handmake every Stealthy Shade here in Australia.
